Destination: Points South

Awwww a new day.  Remember we are headed back towards the east coast today.  Up at 5:30 am (didn't know there were people that actually got up that early) to get prepared for our first leg back home.

After leaving the mountains in northern California and battling the fog, the road smoothed out.  Some sunshine and some rain.  Things are going pretty good.  Traveled through the Sonoma wine country.  Miles and miles of hills with vineyards.  Many local wineries in this area.  Santa Rosa has the Kendall Jackson Winery and a little farther off Hwy 101 is the Korbel Champagne Winery.

We got to Bakersfield early today. 3:25 pm!  Yay!  Everything until today has been well into the dark.  It's our new plan!  I just know it!  Lol.   We are staying at the same park in Bakersfield we stayed before.  The one in the orange groves.  Really nice place!  I drove for the first part of the day, now it's michael's turn.  Otis and I are lounging  in the back.  That's the part of having the RV that I really like.

Had time to make a descent dinner tonight.  We were able to pick some oranges from the trees that surround us.  Hmmmmm.

Good night folks.  More tomorrow
