The Cleanup

Well... as beautiful as all of this snow is it does present a whole new set of circumstances to deal with.  First of all, making a path to get out.  Michael and I spent the morning in clean up mode.  I have shoveled snow to the point I am sore and tired.  I can hardly move.  We are to old and out of shape for this physical labor lol.  I let Otis out for a while and it was just to cold for him.  He tried.  He stayed out as long as he could but finally dropped his head and ambled to the door of the RV and began to stare at the door.  He laid in the front window for the rest of the time we were out shoveling.  The temperature did not make it out of the 30's.  After a long hot shower, I went in town to get a burger and some last minute shopping.  I haven't had a burger in quite a while and it was delicious!  We have been eating all of our meals in the RV.
The next thing is driving.  We are a little nervous about driving in icy conditions.  We are gonna take it slow.

It's 6:00, mountain time, and we are going to bed early.  Enjoy pictures from today.

Ellen In Wonderland

Ok, morning has broken!  I'm ready to get out and play. Just need to drink my coffee and wait until daylight.   Hahaha.  It's 4 in the morning!   I'm am about to bust!  Excited is not the word for it.  I feel like a kid.  I keep looking out the window to see how much snow has fallen and if it's still snowing.  Yes it is, very hard.  We must have gotten 4 or 5 inches last night.  The wind is blowing like mad.  It's so beautiful!  I wish everyone could be here to see this and to play outside with me.  We would have a ball!  I know Michael thinks I'm crazy.  I am but it's ok.  I think we have some shoveling to do today.

It's 7:30 and it just beginning to lighten up outside.  WOW!  At 8:15 we had 7 inches of snow, 10:20 there were 8 inches, 12 noon - 10 inches, 2:10 -13 inches.  It may not stop!  They say more tomorrow!  About 3:30 the snow stopped falling with 13 1/2 inches.  Now what's gonna happen tonight?

Otis seems to like the snow.
I walked around for awhile, in this snow storm this morning, to take pictures.  I have used this word much to often, but...Beautiful is all I can say!  It was fun.  Just me and my camera.  Can't wait to go back at dusk to take more and do some shopping while I'm at it.   hahahaha

Back from the evening night out.  Williams, AZ is a hopping place in the evening.  The Polar Express was boarding as I walked up.  I have loved that story from the moment I read it.  I was able to meet the Conductor, the Hobo and saw a Baker on the train.  And speaking of the train.  It just like the book.  The whole town is dressed up with lights galore.  I loved it!  It was very, very cold.  In the high teens.  I was bundled up though.

This place is truly a place to believe in all things.  A step back in time!
